Boswellia Rivae ist wirklich ein außergewöhnlicher Weihrauch. Erst wollte ich micht nicht so recht mit ihm anfreunden, da ich doch eher den Duft von Maydi-Weihrauch lieber. Dieser hat kaum Gummi-Masse, ist sehr trocken und sehr hell. Im Grunde das Gegenteil von Rivae.
Doch ich gab Rivae eine Chance und war vollkommen baff, denn dieser relativ gräuliche aussehende Weihrauch mit hohem Gummi-Anteil riecht tatsächlich sehr erdig und süsslich. Er hat den Namen “süßer Weihrauch” wahrhaftig verdient.
Der Duft entsteht durch den hohen Gehalt von bestimmten Molekülen und Stoffen, wie Octanol, Limonen (auch enthalten in Zitronen, Kümmel oder Dill) und auch Pinene.
Diese Sorgen übrigens dafür, dass rein theoretisch der Weihrauch Rivae besonders wirksam bei Candida Pilzen ist. Wie bei allen Weihrauchsorten gilt aber, auch wenn wir die
entzündungshemmende Wirkung von Weihrauch kennen, ist Weihrauch doch noch recht unerforscht.
Der Weihrauch Boswellia Rivae wird auch Ogaden Weihrauch genant, da er aus der Ogaden-Region zwischen Äthiopien und Somalia kommt.
Rivae ist sehr harzhaltig und klebt dadurch natürlich stark, er riecht unglaublich frisch,aromatisch und süsslich.

Gerade kam eine Lieferung aus Somalia bei mir an. Darin auch der Boswellia Neglecta Weihrauch mit dem Namen Mirafur. Er sieht und riecht genau wie der Boswellia Rivae, wieder in Hinweis auf die große Verwirrung in der Weihrauchwelt.
